A telehealth session is a confidential therapy session conducted over the phone or through a secure online video platform like Zoom. If you schedule a video consultation, you'll receive an email with the link or instructions to join. For a phone session, Mel will call your provided phone number at the scheduled time.
No, you don't need a referral to see a psychologist. You can pay privately for therapy sessions or through your private health insurance if you're eligible.
Alternatively, with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you can receive a rebate for the session fee for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, but a MHCP isn't required to access therapy.
Please give us at least 2 business days' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This way, we can offer the time slot to others who might be waiting for an opening. Not providing the required notice will result in a late cancellation or no-show fee equal to the full session cost. Medicare rebate does not cover this fee.
